I would just like to know how to relieve fuel pressure on my 1990 Pontiac Bonneville so that I can change a fuel filter and possibly some fuel injectors.

well if you remove the fuel pump fuse the car wont start to clear out the fuel so with the car running remove the fuse most of the pressure will release but no matter what you do when you take the filter off you will get gas and if filter is very restricted then you will get spray because it is still pressurized

Unplug the fuel pump fuse and run the engine until it dies. Test for any pressure at the test fitting (it's like a tire valve) on the fuel rail on top of the engine fuel lines.
look on fuel rail at top of motor look for black cap unscew it looks like tire valve push needle down gas will fly out keep face away this will relieve pressure but most dont do this just remove filter and gas will come out from lines but not make sure gas tank isnt over filled
Try manually working the butter fly valve.
