How do I change a fuel injector in a 1998 dodge grand caravan?

Each fuel injector is connected to a long fuel rail. On the fuel rail, there should be a cap that you can unscrew. Unscrew the cap and press the little circle in the line with a pen, this will release the fuel pressure so that when you take off the injector, fuel does not spray everywhere. There will be a connection from the fuel rail to each of the injectors, you need to unplug the connection at the injectors. Now you can unbolt the fuel rail. There are two O-rings on each injector, one at top and one at the bottom. When you install the new injector, coat these O-rings with a light coat of oil so that they do not rip when you install them. Now bolt the fuel rail back up, and then reconnect the injectors. You do not have to disconnect the battery, but you can if it makes you feel safer.

you need to let the pressure off the tank first then unhook the battery. the whole fuel rail has to come off if you have multi-port. unhook the plug-in for the harness running to the injectors, ynbolt the fuel rail and the rail should lift off. after everything is finished you will have to bleed the fuel lines.
