Can i change fuel injector?

I have a 2000 Kia Sephia and its engine light is flashing and the car is shaking. So far i changed spurk plugs, wires and coils nothing change. My last hope is the fuel injector.I tested the injectors we found that the 3th injector is faulty and i decided to changed it. I took to car to the mecanic they said part is 150$ and labor 130$ so the total is 280$. Can i changed it by myself or How much is the avarage price for the labor for it ?

Thank you.

I called Auto zone part is 99$.

have you checked the codes on the scanner?

With the kia sephia, I have noticed that 1 side of 1 coil (they have 2) can go bad. Sounds like that may be the problem. If it is a faulty injector, piece of cake on that car.

You can do it yourself just be careful not to mess up the orings on it. Lube it up pretty good before putting it in. You damage the orings it is useless.
You should not attempt this without a vehicle specific service manual. Available from auto stores for about 20 bucks. That will walk you through the steps much better than anyone on the internet can.

I would say it's not difficult to do, but Kias and Hyundais tend to be junk to begin with so I could be wrong.
Yes You can,just be careful.

disconnect the battery.

pay close attention on the job.

when plastic that has been heated is toasted.

use Vaseline to insert the new injector.(some other products has the tendency to destroy the %26quot;O%26quot; rings)

insert the injector with Your hand ,don't use the injector holder.

be careful with the wires handling, their insulation are toast.
sure you can just remember that the seal(o-ring) is properly installed and they dont rip on the way in and the average price for an injector is about 100.00 bucks good luck
