How can I change a Fuel Injector on a 1995 Beretta Myself?

I've been told I can remove it quite easily %26amp; replace the O Rings on the injector instead of replacing the %26quot;entire%26quot; injector itself.

The fuel injector is plastic, the cap ontop of the injector is plastic.

Its located on the drivers side.(in the middle)

Its an Automatic transmission.

Its a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder engine.

it is quite easy on that engine. remove the air intake tube, throttle cable bracket at throttle body, and 2 torx screws holding the fuel injector hold-down bracket. it will take a little wiggling to get that bracket slid off the injectors and out from under the fuel pressure regulator. after that bracket is off, the injector will slide right out of the rail with a little pry.

as far as replacing the o-rings and not the whole injector -- if it is leaking externally (which they always do on those engines), you are going to have to replace the whole injector. the injector body itself is what leaks, not the o-rings.

be sure to lube the o-rings when you are putting it back together.
