1998 Mazda MX6 Engine intermittently accelerates and decelerates when you try to add fuel to increase speed.?

It feels like you are going down the road riding a bunking horse. You can accelerate slowly without the problem, but when you accerlerate normally it does the bunking horse issue.

I have changed out the fuel filter, the O2 censor, and the fuel injectors. None have fixed the problem.

Hi

If it accelerates ok at light throttle then it wouldn't be the O2 sensor to blame.

If its only under heavy throttle that the problem occurs then you need to have your fuel pressure, throttle sensor and MAF sensor checked out for starters.

You could simply unplug the wiring plug from the MAF sensor and see if that goes anywhere towards rectifying the problem, but the throttle sensor will need to be checked with a volt meter, and the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.

Cheers
